Remember All The Stuff We Said Would Come Out At The Trial?

Well judge Jesse Rodriguez did everything in his power to keep that information from coming to light. But now that the trial for Alex and Gloria is over...those FACTS can be released to the public and the media.

On Thursday, January 31st, we invite everyone to the Long Beach Courthouse. On the 8:30 AM docket for judge Rodriguez's courtroom is the restitution hearing being brought forth by LBAC and the city of Long Beach. They want Alex and Gloria to pay $90,000+ for the animals they seized. (more about that in a moment) Todd Krauss will have a big announcement for everyone and we encourage you to come down to the courthouse and hear for yourself! New legal action is afoot, new opportunities for you to demand changes at LBAC.

As background here's some info that will be buried at the hearing on Thursday:

We hate to be nitpicky but here are some important FACTS they're hoping you'll forget (and TRUST -- we know judge Rodriguez will have his tighty whities so bound up over this -- that it will never come out in his courtroom)

1. Within days of the raid, Ed Boks of LA Animal Services offered to house ALL the animals free of charge at a facility that he was preparing to open. Additionally Dr. Saleh offered to provide FREE veterinary care for all the animals. Wesley Moore, head of Long Beach Animal Control (you notice the different "aura" in titles between Long Beach and Los Angeles) said to the Noah's Ark Attorney... and we quote:"Go fuck yourself! We'll see you in court." So -- the city never needed to take on this expense, they had other options that would have been better for the animals and better for the situation -- but since they were so hungry to kill all these animals, they decided to keep them.

2. After three months of holding the animals, LBAC made them available for adoption. Sounds good doesn't it! Well that's a half-truth really! People had to demand to see NA animals and those "nice SPCA volunteers" did everything they could to steer families and potential adopters away from Noah's Ark's animals.

3. And don't forget, even though they painted Alex and Gloria as these horrible hoarders (eh-hem...they adopted out 2,400 animals in one year...they really SUCK at hoarding), if they had walked in with a big fat check anytime before the animals became available -- they would have all been returned to Noah's Ark!

4. And while we're traveling in the wayback machine...don't forget that Quigley declared that no rescue who had ever worked with Noah's Ark could pull "our" animals and find them homes or fosters. Sounds bent but okay, right? Yeah, that's another half truth. One of the armchair rescuers who repeatedly dumped sick animals at Noah's Ark and NEVER contributed any money to their vet bills was Ms.Pnina Gerston. Pnina frequently dealt with Noah's Ark and on the day of the seizure had 12 dogs at Noah's Ark. In fact, Alex was convicted of animal neglect regarding one of Pnina's dogs and is in prison right now because of it. Pnina neglected to testify that the dog was critically ill when it came to Noah's Ark, that Noah's Ark had paid extensive vet fees for little Maggie, and that she was on the mend when she was seized. Maggie died after she was in Quigley's care for 3 months and Pnina even went so far as to spread lies that Maggie was pregnant by an un-neutered pit bull from Noah's Ark. All of it -- pregnant, lack of care, puppies about to be born, Pnina's relationship with Noah's Ark (or no relationship as she must have convinced Quigley) ONE BIG FAT LIE! Way to go all star rescuer!! You and Quigley are cut from the same cloth! Pnina became the person to decide which rescues got to pull animals -- uh wait a second how's that fit with Quigley's EDICT? Yeah, we wonder how much of her soul Pnina sold to the devil too! And because Pnina and Quigley were such ego maniacs HUNGERING for the media spotlight with their good deeds - they couldn't be bothered to read any of the animal's files nor ask questions about them that would get them properly homed -- so we've been quietly undoing the messes that Pnina's great rescuing abilities created!

5. For weeks, Councilman Gary DeLong and even the Mayor demanded that we be given and "inventory" of what was seized -- we wanted a list of our animals. Assistant City Attorney Krystil Myers stalled at every turn. When we were finally provided a list, there were 12 numbered lines (each animal had a line) that had nothing on them. Yet Wesley Moore and Lt. Quigley were crying crocodile tears for the cameras and telling everyone that 5 animals had died or been put to sleep and we couldn't locate many of the animals (which we have now found out they killed.) Hmmmm---somebody needs to go back to math class! We're sure Todd Krauss is reviewing the restitution "bill" with a fine tooth comb because you KNOW it's packed with lies!

6. And finally, we have many clear cases of how LBAC's subpar care resulted in extensive problems for the animals. Fraggle's feet had such bad chemical burns on his paws(which his new vet had estimated having occured within just 10 days of his adoption -- which remember was after 3 months with LBAC)that he could barely walk on his feet! Shouldn't LBAC being paying THOSE vet bills??? Welcome to Orwellian Long Beach where it's 1984 made real!

So join us on Thursday at the Long Beach Courthouse and learn about the next steps Alex and Gloria are taking and the new opportunities for you to get involved -- and make Long Beach a safe place for animals. 8:30 AM is when court begins! Look forward to seein' y'all there!

It Ain't Over 'Til The Big Dog Says So

First -- we want to make it clear for everyone who reads our blog -- this is our opinion of what we are seeing. This is not sanctioned by Alex, Gloria or their attorney Todd Krauss. These are our opinions as supporters. Welcome to America, where you still have right to have opinions and express them.

Okay--so on to the meaty stuff that you come here to read about.

The trial is now over and we begin the next stage of the fight. We knew that in a town as corrupt as Long Beach, California that we could not get a fair trial for Alex and Gloria. 13 felony charges and a quarter of million in bail??? Come on, Michael Vick was electrocuting dogs, drowning them and strangling them for fun and he wasn't as vilified! Mike Huckabee's son was hanging and shooting dogs with mange and Mitt Romney was cruising the highways with his dog strapped to the roof of his car -- and people are considering voting for them for president.

For those of us at the trial -- or rather the sidebar with an audience -- we were left totally perplexed by the judge. He truly should be ashamed as a representative of the legal system. In our opinion, he was not only crazy but clearly had accepted some sort of bribe. Even the prosecutor was shocked by the judge's behavior! The prosecutor was even more chagrinned that the judge decided to try the case for him -- give the guy a break!!! It was embarrassing to see the judge emasculate the poor guy over and over again. Even stranger was to have the judge sustain an objection when none had been raised. Wow! Suffice to say, the judge was not stellar! Too bad Judge Lord wimped out on trying the case, he at least had a shred of integrity. He'll probably leave Long Beach soon because you can't work in Long Beach if you can still look yourself in the mirror in the morning.

We all felt badly for the jury. Clearly the judge was doing every thing he could to keep the truth of obstruction and intimidation from coming out. They must have wondered when witnesses took the stand, barely got their name out and then the judge stopped them from testifying. For those of us who knew what those witnesses were about to testify to, we were truly stunned that the judge was in such a lather. The jury certainly got their exercise being removed from the court room over and over again!

Most of you also missed Lt. Quigley's strange little demonic dance in the court hallways. Dance now strange little woman, your jig will be short-lived. We won't get started on all the things that are hinkey about Quigley -- the press will share that with y'all soon enough.

Many of you have written to ask what's next? Is this it?

HARDLY!

We bided our time through the trial to ensure that we could not do anything that would be fuel for the judge's fire. Trial's over!! Coming soon -- the truth about Long Beach Animal Control uncensored so you all can see what a ruthless animal killer Quigley is. As they say in the movies, "There Will Be Blood"... our goal is for Lt. Quigley to lose her job and never be allowed near another animal again.

If you're interested in helping out in the next phase -- let us know!
